Pre-entry information

We require all children to be 3 years of age and toilet trained before they will be enrolled in our Centre. We welcome parents to visit our Centre prior to enrolling their child and they can add their child’s name to the waiting list whilst visiting.  Alternatively we do take telephonic requests for children to be added to the waiting list.

We will contact you once we have a place for your child, an enrolment form will be sent out and visiting days will be scheduled.  We do encourage a parent to attend the first session with their child and thereafter the length of time spent by the parent at kindergarten will depend on the individual child and his/her ability to settle.

All children bring a change of clothing in a bag, a sun hat for terms 1 and 4 and a warm jumper/jacket in terms 2 and 3.  We encourage the children to bring a water bottle filled, to kindy each time they attend a session, parents take these home with them at the end of their child’s session.

All our parents donate three packets of biscuits per term, a plain vanilla wine and a packet of crackers.  The kindergarten purchases fruit and this is added to the donated biscuits and given to the children for morning and/or afternoon tea.

We also offer a facility for 4 year old children, where they can stay for both sessions, depending on available spaces.  Their day begins at 8:45 and finishes at 3 pm.  The children bring a packed, healthy lunch from home and they eat their lunch between the two sessions.  There is a quiet time after lunch when the children play with construction toys, read books, draw and play with puzzles before the next session starts.
